Sliding Trays – Part 7

The floor boards for the middle tray are only about 1/4″ thick.  I carefully planed the shiplap rabbets, then nailed the boards onto the sides of the tray.

2012.03.10

I resawed a board for one of two side runners for the middle tool tray.  After resawing, I planed it down to about 1/4″.

I drilled countersinks and through holes and attached it with brass screws.

2012.03.11

I resawed, planed, and drilled the other side runner and installed it.  Then I tweaked the sides of the tray with planes until it fit between the runners.
