Sawing the Legs

I crosscut some blanks from a narrow piece of 8/4 alder, then began resawing them to make the legs.
Then I squared them with the jointer plane.
At length, I had eight legs ready. At this point, they were about 1–1/2″ square, as I had originally designed. But, holding a couple of them up and imagining the table, I really began to feel that they were too fat.
