Drill Press Table – Part 3

I drilled a couple holes in an aluminum angle which will serve as the fence. It can be locked down by two cam levers that slide in the T-tracks. One thing I’m not happy with is that the fence wobbles when I slide it back and forth, so I have to carefully square it to the table. Maybe later I can devise a way to keep it square with the T-tracks. Another future modification would be routing out for sacrificial inserts after the table gets chewed up from drill bits.
The cabinet holds electric hand drills, bits, screws, and other related items.

Over time I realized a couple issues with the table. One was that it was difficult or impossible to clamp shorter pieces because of how far outboard the T-tracks were. The other was that the top had been chewed up so much by drill bits that there wasn’t really proper support in the center any more.
So I built a new top with two additional T-tracks closer to the center and replacable hardboard inserts.
