Boarded Chest II – Painting

On this chest, I am painting before assembly, because I do not want to paint the hinges and nailheads.  The milk paint I chose this time is Marigold Yellow.

The yellow doesn’t seem to cover as well as the blue or green.  I think I ended up putting four coats on the lid and the front to reduce how much the knots and darker grain bled through.  The ends only needed a couple coats.
