San Diego, California at Christmas

This year for Christmas my parents and I met in San Diego, California and stayed for about a week. There are many attractions in and around the city, so prior to the trip we narrowed down the list and I put together a tentative itinerary. I flew down, while my parents drove out from Oklahoma.
Unfortunately, the West Coast had been hit by a “pineapple express”, an unusually wet and (comparatively) warm storm system originating near the Hawaiian islands. It had been raining in San Diego for several days and still poured heavily off and on the first two days we were there. The rest of the week was part clouds and sun, with highs around 60. We rearranged our schedule to visit museums the first two rainy days, saving the outdoor activities for later.
