Fort Vancouver – Kitchen

After checking out the model and a quick scan around the surprisingly-large enclosure, my first stop was the Kitchen, attached to the back of the Chief Factor’s House.
The lady inside was baking bread and cooking something… chicken stew I think, and later a pumpkin. She said the park service is so paranoid about lawsuits that visitors aren’t allowed to sample the food… but apparently they aren’t worried about the other volunteers, hah.
