Hauling Debris to the Dump, Round II
2007.06.09
We made another round to the dump today, with the last of the demolition debris (and some other trash). It turned out to be a gloomy day with pouring rain almost nonstop. Other than getting rained on, though, what else are you gonna do on a day like that?
While I waited for Nate to arrive, I started pushing stuff out the basement egress window, to try to minimize the time standing in the rain loading the truck. At the dump, Nate scored a big 20mm ammo box, with two smaller ones inside. He said they’re selling at Andy and Bax for almost $20.
Well, that’s a major milestone, an empty room at last. Now it echoes like crazy though, with so much bare concrete.
Aaaand, this is why I demolished the room. With nothing but concrete back there now, I don’t have to worry much about a little water seeping in.
