Most of the butterflies I see around my place are little white ones. Today though I saw this big butterfly, most likely a Western tiger swallowtail. I ran in to get the camera, and amazingly, it hung around a while for me to take photos. Most of them turned out blurry, but I got a couple shots where it held still long enough for me to freeze the wings in the frame.

The ‘Black and Blue’ Salvia has finally started blooming. The ‘Seattle’ Dahlias should start soon.
